Find the therapist that best suits your needs

Adam J. Biec, LMHC, Founder & CEO

Graduate of Columbia University with a degree in Mental Health Counseling, I am a dedicated Anxiety Specialist and Family/Couples Counselor with a passion for patient-centric care. I draw on a diverse toolkit - from surrender and acceptance techniques, environmental and interoceptive exposure therapies, to CBT and Paradoxical Intent interventions. These varied strategies help my patients conquer their panic and anxiety.

Recognizing the need for varied expertise in mental health care, I have been carefully building a team of exceptional therapists since 2015. Through a meticulous selection process that includes mock therapy sessions, I ensure that every therapist brings a unique, yet high-quality skill set to our practice. This allows us to deliver comprehensive mental health services tailored to the specific needs of our clients.

I received my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, and I have experience and training in counseling individuals with depression, anxiety, grief, intimate relationships, sexual health, and more. I believe in helping clients discover their inner strengths so they can live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. In sessions, I strive to provide a positive, safe space while building strong, professional relationships with my clients.

In my role as Lead Supervising Clinician, I also oversee the training and supervision of our clinical team. This includes equipping staff with evidence-based strategies for treating panic and agoraphobia, as well as offering guidance on best practices in psychotherapy. By fostering a collaborative learning environment, I ensure that both our clients and our clinicians feel supported and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.

I specialize in working with executives and founders, focusing on high performance, work-life balance, burnout recovery, and goal optimization. Having completed two PhD programs spanning psychology, economics, and business, and co-founding a medical practice in the Arctic Circle, I understand the complexities of high-stakes roles. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) with cutting-edge innovations like AI behavioral analytics. This combination allows me to provide clients with precision-tailored strategies to unlock their full potential.

As one of the first therapists in New York to pioneer the intersection of AI and mental health, I’m redefining how therapy meets today’s challenges. My mission is to leverage therapeutic frameworks and data-driven solutions to help clients achieve their goals, thrive under pressure, and navigate life with clarity and confidence.

As a graduate of New York University with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling & Wellness, I bring a client-centered approach to my practice, valuing the uniqueness of each individual. My commitment is to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to embark on their personal growth journey. Utilizing evidence-based techniques such as motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and humor, I empower clients to achieve their healing goals.

Collaboration is at the core of my therapeutic approach, and I prioritize establishing strong therapeutic relationships that not only recognize but also actively encourage the individuality of each client. My education at NYU has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of diverse perspectives, allowing me to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.

Rosemarie Montague, LP-MHC

I began my counseling career over 30 years ago in Manhattan and the Bronx with homeless children and families and in an alternative high school in Astoria, Queens while obtaining my Master’s in Guidance & Counseling from Hunter College. I then attended the Swedish Institute: NYC College of Health Science, obtained my license in Massage Therapy, and have had a private practice for 15 years.

I’ve worked treating anxiety, depression, disease, and physical and mental trauma, while also teaching guided meditation and meditative stretching. I have now also obtained an Advance Master’s Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Buffalo. Clinically, I have worked with all ages, couples and families struggling with a wide variety of mental health concerns, addiction, personality disorders, and eating disorders. I use CBT, awareness raising, mindfulness, and client centered techniques. I offer compassion, honesty, respect, encouragement, and assistance in identifying healthy solutions.

Lorna Akabogu, LP-MHC

Navigating life’s challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, making it essential to seek support and effective solutions through therapy. I offer both Christian-based and traditional therapeutic interventions, tailoring my approach to best meet each client’s unique needs. My style is collaborative and client-centered, with active listening at the core of my sessions. I believe that every individual has the inner strength needed to achieve their goals, and with the right support, meaningful growth is possible.

As your therapist, I will serve as a guide in this process, helping you develop effective strategies to reach your personal and emotional goals. I earned my MSEd in School Counseling from Hunter College, NY, and an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Buffalo, NY. I have experience working with clients across diverse age groups and understand the profound impact that mental health and well-being have on all aspects of life.

Nathaniel Terpening, LP-MHC, EMDR

My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my experience in Alaska, where I learned the importance of meeting people where they are. After graduating from Alaska Pacific University in 2012, I dedicated my career to serving diverse and often underserved populations, including those in the homeless community, families in crisis, and individuals navigating the criminal justice system and forensic psychology.

This work has reinforced my commitment to providing compassionate, Trauma-Informed Care. I draw from a rich toolkit of evidence-based modalities, including the powerful frameworks of DBT and CBT. I am also trained in EMDR, which I use to help clients reprocess the traumatic memories that hold them back. In addition, I am an experienced instructor of mindfulness and meditation.
